Video: The Martial Artist
Transcript
This week our global teen comes from Mexico.
What’s your name?
My name is Ivan Manuel, and I live in Sapojan Juarisco.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to do tae kwon do, the martial art; and play video games.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is being with my friends, my family and my relatives.
Do you think you have it better than your grandparents did?
I don’t think so.
Back then my grandparents could go out and play in the streets. But we can’t do that nowadays: it’s not as safe anymore in the streets and in the parks.
What are your hopes for the future?
What I hope for in the future is a better world, where there is no more pollution, and where there is no danger of species going extinct here on Earth, whether in the oceans, on land or in the air.
