Alex O’Loughlin “Steve McGarrett”: My name is Alex O’Loughlin. My character name is Steve McGarrett.

In the beginning of the show, he comes back to the island which is the place he grew up. And he’s given a task force and promised complete immunity.

He’s a pretty complicated character. He’s got a fire burning within him the whole time. I’m really looking forward to developing the stories between the characters. It’s a great group of people when they come together.

Scott Caan “Danny Danno Williams”: I’m Scott Caan playing Danny Williams. I think I’m the play-by-the-book cop of the bunch.

I’m the detective who had to come to Hawaii because my wife remarried, moved here and brought my daughter here.

Steve: I think I know why your wife left you.
Danno: Really?
Steve: Yeah, you’re very sensitive.
Danno: When did you come to the conclusion that I was sensitive? Huh? Was it when a bullet was tearing through my flesh, is that when I seem sensitive to you?
Steve: Let’s just not talk.
Danno: Now, or never again?
Steve: Both.

Daniel Dae Kim “Chin Ho Kelly”: It’s not your typical procedural. There are overarching storylines that will go beyond episode to episode.

My name is Daniel Dae Kim. I play a character named Chin Ho Kelly. He’s the one with the connections to the island. He’s the one that’s grown up here and he’s the one that kind of has a bit more Spirit of Aloha, and knows how to communicate with the locals.

Chin Ho Kelly: We’re on an island with less than a million people, which means the bad guys know the good guys. So we need to look outside the box.

Chin Ho Kelly: I’ll introduce my cousin to the task force.
Steve: She’s your cousin?
Chin Ho: Choose your words carefully: she’s a very formidable woman.

Grace Park “Kono Kalakaua”: My name’s Grace Park. I play Kono Kalakaua. It’s been really fun, because there’ve been challenges that I’d really step up to.

She’s supposed to be a pro surfer. I’m gone surfing twice. Black belt jujitsu. I don’t even know if I have a white belt. I think anyone can have a white belt.

I’ve loved working with the other actors; chemistry’s really good between everyone. And I think it’s going to get better.

Daniel: It has a fantastic pedigree and I’m enjoying working with the other actors.

Alex: It’s really exciting. It’s an incredible group of people who we have working on this.
